Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Instant Mail mobile applications (published as Temporary Email Pro on iOS and Instant Mail on Android), hereinafter referred to as “the Apps”.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling information responsibly in accordance with applicable laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA). This Policy explains what we collect, how we use and share it, and your choices.
1) What the Apps do
The Apps generate temporary, disposable email addresses to receive messages and attachments. Messages are automatically removed after a short period (typically ~2 hours for Free; up to 1 month for Premium). The Apps do not send email. Do not use temporary addresses for critical accounts or sensitive data.
2) Data we collect
The Apps do not require account registration for core functionality. However, the Apps and integrated third-party SDKs may collect the following categories of data:
- Device or Advertising IDs (e.g., Google Advertising ID, IDFA/IDFV)
- IP address (used to derive approximate location and for fraud prevention)
- Device & app metadata (model, OS/version, app version, language, timezone, crash logs, diagnostics)
- App activity & interactions (e.g., screens viewed, ad impressions/clicks, session events)
Payments (Premium)
Payments and subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive or store card numbers. We may retain non-personal transaction confirmations (e.g., purchase token) to validate entitlement.
3) Purposes of use
- Advertising — to serve, cap, personalize (where permitted), and measure ads
- Analytics — to understand usage and improve performance and features
- Fraud prevention & security — to detect invalid traffic and protect the service
- App functionality — to run core features and deliver notifications
4) Third-party SDKs and partners
We integrate third-party services which may act as independent controllers or processors of certain data. Please review their policies:
- Google AdMob (ads): policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- AppLovin (ads): applovin.com/privacy
- Firebase (analytics/crash): firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google Play Services / Apple Services: Google · Apple
Advertising partners may use device/advertising identifiers, IP address, app activity and approximate location to deliver and measure ads, and to combat fraud. Where required, we obtain user consent before enabling ad personalization.
5) Data sharing
- No selling of personal information.
- We share data with vendors/partners that help operate the Apps (ads, analytics, infrastructure) under appropriate terms.
- We may disclose data if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or integrity of the Apps.
- We may use and share aggregated or de-identified information for reporting and improvements.
6) Data retention
- Temporary mail content: Free ~2 hours; Premium up to 1 month, then deleted.
- Analytics/diagnostics: retained only as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal/operational requirements.
- We cannot restore messages or domains once removed.
7) Your choices & controls
- Reset or limit ad tracking: reset advertising ID, limit ad personalization in device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
- Consent in EEA/UK: where required, a consent prompt (e.g., Google’s UMP) lets you choose personalized/non-personalized ads; you can update choices in the consent dialog if available.
- Cookies: manage in your browser; learn more at aboutads.info.
- Notifications: control push notifications in device settings.
8) GDPR (EEA/UK) — legal bases & rights
Legal bases. We rely on: (i) consent (e.g., personalized ads where required), (ii) legitimate interests (e.g., service security, non-personalized ads/measurement, basic analytics), and (iii) contract (to provide the service you request).
Your rights. Subject to exceptions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. We will respond per applicable law.
9) California (CCPA/CPRA)
We do not “sell” personal information as defined by CPRA. “Sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising may occur via ad partners. You can opt out by disabling personalized ads in device settings and/or via any consent dialog provided.
10) Children’s privacy
The Apps are not directed to children and are intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age required by local law. Do not use the Apps if you are under the minimum age.
11) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
12) International transfers
We may process information on servers and with partners located outside your country. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
13) Third-party links
The Apps and website may contain links to third-party sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
14) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date reflects the latest changes. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
